Coach Madrid joined the Hokies in July of 2023 as an assistant strength and conditioning coach. He previously worked at Duke University as an intern.
While at Duke, Coach Madrid assisted in the design and implementation of training programs for the men’s lacrosse program as well as assisted with an assortment of other Olympic sport teams.
Prior to Duke, Coach Madrid worked at UNC Wilmington as an intern where he designed and implemented strength & conditioning programs for men’s golf and women’s tennis. While with the Seahawks, he also assisted the full-time staff with all 19 sports teams.
A graduate of East Carolina in 2022, Coach Madrid owns a bachelor of science: health fitness specialist.
Coach Madrid owns certifications in USAW Level 1, CPR/AED.
