Clare Ingersoll joined Virginia Tech in February of 2022 as assistant, S/C Olympic Sports.
She came from Smith College where she was a graduate assistant strength and conditioning for the past two years. Ingersoll was responsible for designing and implementing the strength and conditioning programs for lacrosse, tennis, and volleyball. She worked alongside head strength and conditioning coach, Jake Turner, and graduate assistant coach, Jose Martinez.
Ingersoll received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Washington College in 2019, where she interned with the strength and conditioning staff her senior year. After graduating, she worked as an assistant strength and conditioning coach for Washington College’s field hockey, softball, women’s tennis, swimming, basketball, and the men’s and women’s rowing teams. During her first year at Smith College, Ingersoll worked with Smith’s lacrosse, tennis, volleyball, cross country, and track and field teams. The summer after her first year at Smith College, Ingersoll interned with the football strength and conditioning staff at the University of Maryland.
