Joined Virginia Tech men’s basketball staff: 2024 and enters his first season with the program as a graduate assistant.
With the Hokies: Howard is responsible for assisting with player development, film breakdown and assisting with scouting reports and logistic coordination.
Prior to Virginia Tech: From 2019-2022, Howard was coaching high school basketball for Louisville Fern Creek as an assistant coach. He then transitioned to the college game and became an assistant coach at Kentucky Wesleyan College from 2022-2023. Howard spent the 2023-24 season with the Arkansas Razorbacks where he was a graduate assistant for the men's basketball program.
Howard played his first two years in junior college at Parkland Community College where he finished sixth in the country. Howard then proceeded to play at the University of Maine his junior year before finishing up his senior season at the University of Charleston (W.Va.).
Education: University of Charleston, 2018 (B.A. Communications).
Personal: A native of Louisville, Kentucky, Howard is working on his master's degree in the OMAL’s program with a concentration in leadership studies.
