Responsibilities: Goode moved into a primary communications role for the Hokie Club in 2020 after starting at Virginia Tech in the media relations/strategic communications office. She is responsible for coordinating the communication initiatives for the Hokie Club, including press releases, email/mail correspondence, social media, digital, and printed campaigns.

At Virginia Tech: Goode coordinates with the athletic department on social media aspects for the Virginia Tech Athletics and Hokie Club Facebook, Instagram and Twitter accounts, helping to manage various campaigns and fan engagement opportunities across the platforms. Prior to moving into the Hokie Club, Goode began her tenure at Virginia Tech in the media relations/strategic communications office where she most recently served as the primary contact for swimming & diving and men's and women's tennis programs and worked with the women's basketball program for six seasons. In addition, Goode managed a student staff of approximately 30 undergraduates. She has also served as timeout coordinator at the 2013 NCAA Baseball Regional at English Field.
Prior to Virginia Tech: Goode held the position of assistant director of media relations and publications coordinator at the University of North Florida for two years, serving as the primary media contact for the UNF women’s basketball, volleyball and men’s and women’s tennis programs while overseeing all athletics department publications, including media guides, posters, brochures, schedule cards, etc.
Prior to UNF, Goode worked as the assistant sports information director at High Point University (2005-09), serving as the primary contact for HPU’s women’s basketball, volleyball, men’s soccer, men’s and women’s cross country, men’s and women’s indoor and outdoor track and field and men’s and women’s tennis programs. She also had media oversight of three Big South Conference tournaments during that time (women’s basketball and men’s soccer).
Goode spent two years as a graduate assistant at Marshall University (2003-05), primarily working with the women’s swimming and diving, men’s and women’s cross country and women’s indoor and outdoor track and field programs, and she also assisted in game-day operations for the football and men’s and women’s basketball teams.
She worked in sports information at High Point University as a student assistant for two years (2001-03).

Of Note: Goode served a three-year term as the chairperson of the CoSIDA programming committee, overseeing all of the programming for the annual national convention.
Personal: A native of Meadow Bridge, W.Va., Goode resides in Blacksburg. She enjoys traveling, reading, listening to music and entertaining friends and family.
