Amber Evans

Director, Student-Athlete Development
Responsibilities: As Director of Student-Athlete Career Development, Evans leads Virginia Tech’s efforts to prepare Hokie student-athletes for life after sports. She oversees all aspects of career development programming and facilitates “Personal Branding and Job Success” workshops focused on building essential life and professional skills.

Joined VT Athletics Staff: October 2025

Prior to VT: From 2023–2025, she served as the Assistant Director of Student-Athlete Academic Enhancement, overseeing the football program, and as the Director of Student-Athlete Development at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Before her time at UTC, she spent four years at Towson University (2019–2023) as an Athletic Academic Advisor and Learning Specialist, supporting student-athletes in both academic and personal development.

Education: Radford University, 2018 (B.S., Interdisciplinary Studies), Clemson University, 2020 (M.S., Athletic Leadership)

Personal: Originally from Forest, Virginia, Evans now resides in Christiansburg with her dog, Fenway
