Hokie ClubResponsibilities: Armstrong oversees all aspects of academic support services provided for the student-athletes at Virginia Tech. Additionally, she serves as the athletic academic advisor to the Women’s Golf team, and serves on various committees throughout the institution.
Joined VT Athletics Staff: 2005
At Virginia Tech: Before moving into her current role within SAASS in 2019, Armstrong served as the Senior Assistant Director in SAASS, providing oversight to the football student-athletes and advising team, while also serving as the SAASS eligibility liaison for all athletic teams. Prior to joining the staff full time in 2005, Armstrong served as the SAASS intern for two years.
Education: Virginia Tech, 2003 (B.S. in human development, with communication and psychology minors); Virginia Tech 2005 (M.S.Ed. in health and physical education).
Personal: Armstrong and her husband, Adam, enjoy traveling and spending time at the beach.
