Jerod McCullen

Director of Video and Player Development
Virginia Tech women’s basketball head coach Megan Duffy tabbed Jerod McCullen as the program’s director of video and player development on May 2, 2024. 
 
At Tech, his responsibilities will include overseeing the coordination of all film needs within the program, player development and scouting.

McCullen comes to Blacksburg after spending one season at the University of Kentucky as the women’s basketball coaching video coordinator. In his one season in Lexington, he assisted the Wildcats with coordination of film, scouting, video projects and assisting coaches in various aspects of the program including assistant coach Jen Hoover.

Prior to Kentucky, McCullen spent three seasons as the director of operations at Central Michigan (2020-22). There, he administered travel arrangements, handled all video responsibilities, assisted in equipment duties, oversaw managers and practice players, and facilitated camps and other team events. He also aided coaches and staff members in the day-to-day operations of the program.

Before that, McCullen served two seasons as a student manager at CMU (2019-20). He assisted with equipment, film exchange and other video responsibilities, and helped coordinate travel.

He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in sports management from Central Michigan in December of 2022.
