Prior to Virginia Tech: In 2018, Hawkins became a full-time diving coach for Carolina Diving Academy in Huntersville, N.C. Previously, He coached at the New River Dive Club and Virginia Tech from 2014-2015 and with the Fort Lauderdale Diving team from 2017-2018. Hawkins then joined Davidson College's coaching staff in 2019 as a volunteer assistant diving coach. In January 2021, Hawkins took over as the club director for the New River Diving club
Education: Hawkins graduated in 2015 from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor's Degree in architecture and a Minor in industrial design.
Of Note: As a diver, Hawkins earned many athletic accolades. He was a Team USA Member in 2012, 2015 and 2017. In 2015, he was a Pan American Games Team Member. As a collegiate athlete, Hawkins was a four-time NCAA All-American and a three-time NCAA Honorable Mention All-American. In 2014, Hawkins won the VT Male Scholar Athlete of the Year award.
