High School: A member of the Herndon Commanders club team ... finished first in the 100-yard backstroke and second in the 100-yard butterfly at the state high school championships senior year ... finished fifth and fourth in the 100-yard backstroke and 200-yard individual medley, respectively, as a sophomore at states ... took eighth in the 100-yard backstroke and 10th in the 100-yard butterfly as a freshman ... made six Junior National cuts over three years with club team ... earned first-team all-state, all-district, all-region, all-metro and all-american in the 100-yard backstroke, 100-yard butterfly and in the 200-yard medley relay as a senior ... set three school records his final year at Herndon.
