2002-03: Finished 16th in the 200 breaststroke at the Nike Cup (2:06.15) ... Was 20th in the 200 IM at the conference meet.

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Monacan High School ... Swam for the Poseidon club team for Coach Ted Sallade for eight years ... Earned scholastic All-America honors.

PERSONAL: Phillip Smith was born June 18, 1984 in Fort Worth, Texas ... Son of Robert and Anne Smith ... Majoring in psychology.
