2003-04: Placed eighth in the 100 freestyle at the BIG EAST Championships ... Finished 15th in the 200 free at the same meet ... Recorded a personal best in the 200 free with a time of 1:52.29.

2002-03: Finished eighth in the 100 freestyle at the BIG EAST Championships with a time of 51.25 ... Was 12th in the 50 freestyle at the conference meet ... Was 16th at the Nike Cup in the 50 freestyle (23.79).

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Colonial Heights High School ... Swam for the Poseidon club team under coach Ted Sallade for two years ... A two-time first team all-Metro member for the 50, 100 and freestyle.

PERSONAL: Emily Guschke was born October 11, 1983 in Richmond, Virginia ... Daughter of Mike and Lois Ann Guschke ... Majoring in human nutrition, foods and exercise.
