Along with teammate Stacey Vidt, became one of the first Tech women to earn all-district honors in the past 12 years, placing 20th at the NCAA Southeast Region Championships ... Narrowly missed capturing an at-large bid for the 2002 NCAA Cross Country Championships ... Captured four top-10 finishes on the season ... Placed in the top three at the Alumni Meet, the Hokie Invitational and the Blue Ridge Open ... Finished 30th at the BIG EAST Championships.
2002 Outdoor Track & Field: Had a personal record of 4:39.23 in the 1,500 meters at the BIG EAST Championships ... Named to the BIG EAST All-Academic Team.
2002 Indoor Track & Field: Placed third in the 5,000 meters at the Clemson Invitational ... Ran a leg on the 4x800 relay team that finished seventh at the BIG EAST Championships ... Finished fifth at the Rod McCravy Memorial meet with a time of 10:19.15 in the 3,000 meters ... Turned in a season-best time of 5:03.22 in the mile, which earned her sixth place at the Virginia Tech Challenge ...
