2016: Started eight games, all as a DH, and played in 19 total … Had one multi-hit game, a five-hit outing at Western Carolina (April 20) … Had his first career RBI in that game and scored three times, his second multi-run scoring game of the year … Had a season-long reached base streak of four games … Batted .179 with seven hits, including one double, for eight total bases and a .205 slugging percentage … Scored eight runs and had the one RBI … Drew four walks and was hit by two pitches for a .289 on-base percentage.
High School: Earned varsity letters all four years while playing for coach Skip Hudgins at Western Albemarle … As a senior, batted .459 with nine doubles, three triples and seven home runs, while knocking in 27 RBI, scoring 34 times and stealing eight bases … Was named the conference and region’s Player of the Year … Was a two-time all-district, all-conference, all-region and all-state selection at third base … For his career, batted .448, slugged .807 and collected a total of 106 hits … Ranks as the school’s all-time career leader in doubles (31), triples (12), second in hits, runs (92) and on-base percentage (.542) and is third in RBI (77), average and slugging.
