FRISCO, Texas – Valentine Delon, a Virginia Tech senior, was selected as one of the 11 women's golfers featured on the fall watchlist for the PING Women's Golf Coaches Association Player of the Year.

The fall watchlists highlight excellence throughout the year and recognize those who have
made an early impact on their teams and across the collegiate landscape. Delon leads the Hokies with a 68.8 scoring average. She recorded a top-10 finish in each of her five fall events, including a pair of wins at the Nittany Lion Invitational and the Ruth's Chris Tar Heel Invitational. Delon, who is ninth in the country in the most recent national rankings, has a team-best 11 par-or-better rounds; eight of those rounds were in the 60s.

The Paris, France native will get to represent her home country at next week's Spirit International Amateur Championship. The four-day event returns to the renowned Whispering Pines Golf Club in Trinity, Texas, Nov. 10-14, bringing together 80 of the world’s top amateur golfers representing 20 countries and six continents in an Olympic-style team event.
