BLACKSBURG, Va. – The Virginia Tech men's soccer team is set to begin its postseason run at home, as the Hokies will host an ACC Tournament first round match at Thompson Field.
Virginia Tech enters the ACC Championship as the No. 6 seed and will welcome No. 11 seed NC State to Blacksburg for a first-round matchup on Wednesday, Nov. 4. The two teams faced off earlier in the season, resulting in a 1-1 draw in Raleigh.
The Hokies earned the right to host a postseason contest following their regular-season campaign, securing a top eight finish in the ACC standings with a 4-2-2 record. Virginia Tech will look to take advantage of its home-field environment as it begins its pursuit of an ACC Championship. It is the first time since the 2021 season where Tech will host at least one match of the conference tournament.
