BLACKSBURG - Virginia Tech tight end Luke Reynolds has been added to the watch list for the Biletnikoff Award, which annually recognizes the outstanding receiver in college football.

Reynolds has emerged as a key weapon in the Hokies' passing attack, showcasing his ability to make plays downfield and provide a reliable target for quarterback Ethan Grunkemeyer.

Reynolds became the first Virginia Tech tight end to record 100 or more receiving yards in back-to-back games with his efforts against Old Dominion (8 receptions, 108 yards) and Maryland (12 receptions, 107 yards). He has 41 catches for 431 yards and four touchdowns on the season, averaging 10.5 yards per reception.

The addition to the Biletnikoff Award watch list where he joins Hokie teammate, Que'Sean Brown, adds to a growing list of accolades for Reynolds, who was previously named to the preseason watch list for the John Mackey Award, presented annually to the nation's top tight end.

The Biletnikoff Award, presented by the Tallahassee Quarterback Club Foundation, recognizes the outstanding FBS receiver regardless of position. Tight ends, wide receivers and running backs who catch passes are eligible for the honor.
