BLACKSBURG — The Virginia Tech vs. Old Dominion matchup on Saturday, Sept. 12 is officially sold out, setting the stage for an action-packed day of gameday traditions, military appreciation and special events in and around Lane Stadium.
The noon ET matchup marks the fourth game of the 2026 football season that Virginia Tech Athletics has sold out. Fans still seeking tickets to the sold-out matchup can visit SeatGeek, the official fan-to-fan ticket marketplace of Virginia Tech Athletics, for available tickets.
The game, presented by PenFed Credit Union, will serve as Virginia Tech's Salute to Service celebration. Hokie fans are invited to honor military service members, recognize the Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets and ROTCs, and celebrate first responders and hometown heroes, including healthcare workers.

Fans are also encouraged to wear white for the White Effect as the Hokies take on the Monarchs in the early afternoon matchup.
The game will also feature a special flyover by four U.S. Air Force T-6 training planes.
The matchup will also highlight State Employees Appreciation Day and Faith & Family Day, with special group opportunities available for both groups.
