Hokies continued fall play at ITA All-Americans and Harvard’s annual Chowderfest tournament

Six Hokies competed at All-Americans and three competed at Chowderfest

TULSA, Okla. – The Hokies competed at the ITA All-American Championships and Harvard’s annual Chowderfest tournament over the weekend. 

Five Hokies competed in ITA All-American prequalifiers, with Blake Hilsen coming out with a 6-7 (2-7), 6-3, 6-4 win. 

Doubles pair Ilyas Fahim and Carson Baker advanced to the qualifying round with two wins in the prequalifying round. 

Fahim began singles in the qualifying round, taking a ranked win over UNC’s No. 123 Niels Ratiu, . 

Over in Cambridge, three Hokies competed in Harvard’s annual Chowderfest. Nicolas Iantosca went undefeated in singles with three wins on the weekend. Thomás Brandão went home with a 2-1 singles record. 

UP NEXT: The Hokies host the ITA Atlantic Regional Championship in Blacksburg Oct. 8-12.
