FARRAGUT, Tn. — The Hokies began their season at the Visit Knox Collegiate, carding an 845 (288-277-280) for a 13th place finish Tuesday. Fox Den Country Club (par 70, 6,962 yards) hosted the tournament.

Sahish Reddy led the way for Tech, carding a 4-under par (71-65-68) in his first collegiate tournament. Sahish’s dominant second round played a key role in his tied-seventh place individual finish.

Tennessee (277-282-266) received first place team honors, fueled by a tournament-best 14-under par final round. Rudy Sautron (69-69-63) and Jackson Herrington (71-69-66) led the way for the Volunteers. Chattanooga’s Evan Rogers (67-67-66) took home the individual title.

The Hokies will stay in the Blue Ridge Mountains for the J.T. Poston Invitational in Waynesville, N.C. starting September 13th.
