CHARLESTON, S.C. – ESPN Events has officially announced the six teams participating in the 2026 Shriners Children’s Charleston Classic, set to return for its 18th year at TD Arena in Charleston, S.C. This year's event will be held on November 20 and 22 and consist of three standalone games on each day, with each team playing one game on November 20 and one game on November 22.
While matchups, tip times and television designations are forthcoming, the rest of the field includes Dayton, Minnesota, Northwestern, Oklahoma State and Utah.
The Hokies, who have competed in the event twice previously, last appeared in 2022 where they finished as runners up. In 2018, Tech won the event.
