CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – The Atlantic Coast Conference has announced its 2026-27 Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) Executive Board, featuring student-athlete leaders who will help represent the perspectives and priorities of more than 12,200 student-athletes across the league.

Henry Gibbs of Georgia Tech will serve as Chair, joined by Syracuse’s Ruben Rojas Betanzos as Vice Chair. Aubrey Brown of SMU will represent the conference on the NCAA Division I SAAC, which reports directly to the NCAA Division I Council.

“At both the institutional and conference levels, ACC SAAC is a trusted partner in shaping policy and priorities,” said ACC Commissioner Jim Phillips, Ph.D. “Their voices ensure our decisions reflect the needs, ambitions and values of the more than 12,200 student-athletes who define the ACC.”

Stanford women’s gymnastics student-athlete Temple Landry will serve as the ACC’s alternate representative to the NCAA Division I SAAC, while Pitt track & field student-athlete Hailey Kravetz will serve as Communications Chair.

Student-athletes will also continue to have a direct role in the ACC’s governance structure through representation on four ACC Standing Committees. Gibbs will serve on the Media Committee, Ella Brooks of Clemson track & field will serve on the Legislation Committee, Aubrey Nisbet of Wake Forest women’s tennis will serve on the Infractions & Sportsmanship Review Committee and Mackenzie Smith of NC State women’s soccer will serve on the Nominating Committee.

Each of the ACC’s 18 member institutions nominates representatives to SAAC, while members of the Executive Board are selected through a conference-wide vote of their fellow student-athletes.

ACC SAAC provides an important connection between the conference’s student-athletes and ACC leadership, giving student-athletes a meaningful voice in legislation, governance, community engagement and initiatives that shape their collegiate experience. In addition to providing feedback on conference and NCAA matters, SAAC members support community service efforts, promote sportsmanship and help advance a positive culture throughout ACC athletics.
