BLACKSBURG, Va. – The countdown to Virginia Tech's Sept. 5 home opener against VMI is on, and tickets are going fast. With fewer than 1,000 seats remaining, fans won’t want to miss a night unlike any other in program history.

Saturday, Sept. 5 at 7:30 p.m. marks the debut of the James Franklin era, the first game featuring Lane Stadium's upgraded videoboard, audio system and LED lighting, and the opening chapter of a season that has already generated some of the strongest ticket demand in recent years.
