Tech places 350 athletes on ACC's Academic Honor Roll for 2025-26

Nearly 7,500 student-athletes honored by conference office Friday afternoon

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com)The Atlantic Coast Conference announced the 2025-26 ACC Academic Honor Roll on Friday, recognizing 7,496 student-athletes for their classroom excellence during the 2025-26 academic year. Virginia Tech placed 350 student-athletes on the list.

The ACC Academic Honor Roll is comprised of student-athletes who participated in a varsity-level sport and registered a grade point average of 3.0 or better for the full academic year. This marks the seventh consecutive year in which at least 5,500 ACC student-athletes have achieved Honor Roll status.

“We commend our student-athletes for their success and diligence in the classroom and in competition this past academic year,” said ACC Commissioner Jim Phillips, Ph.D. “We offer our congratulations to the thousands who earned their place on the ACC Academic Honor Roll while also recognizing the many individuals who support them on all 18 of our campuses.”

For the 37th time in the 39 years of the Honor Roll, Duke led all schools in the number of honorees, totaling 654. Stanford had 620 honorees, while California boasted 602. Virginia (562), North Carolina (534), Boston College (491), Notre Dame (460) and Louisville (441) also each had more than 400 student-athletes earn recognition.
