BLACKSBURG, Va. — The Hokie Club is excited to announce the return of Triumph Together, Virginia Tech Athletics’ annual 25-hour giving blitz, which is set for August 18-19, 2026. Now in its sixth year, this annual initiative unites Hokie Nation behind Virginia Tech's 22 varsity sports and over 500 student-athletes at a moment that matters more than ever for college athletics.
This year's campaign arrives at a defining moment for Virginia Tech. With Coach James Franklin and the football program entering a pivotal chapter, new energy across the department with the hiring of Vice President & Director of Athletics Brian White, and the evolving landscape of collegiate athletics creating both challenges and opportunity, the 2026-27 academic year is set to be one of the most pivotal in recent memory. Triumph Together is an instrumental opportunity for Hokie Nation to catalyze momentum for the upcoming year of Tech sports.
"Triumph Together lands at a key moment for this department, and I'm asking Hokie Nation to meet it head on," said Brian White, Vice President & Director of Athletics. "Our more than 500 student-athletes need to feel the full strength of this fan base behind them. Every dollar and every program you choose to support helps us compete at the highest level and shows our student-athletes that Tech fans show up when it matters most."
The 25-hour window gives every varsity program and support unit an equal opportunity to rally donors and unlock bonus funding before the fall season begins.
"This is going to be a special year for Virginia Tech Athletics, and it starts here," said Brad Bell, Executive Director. "Every gift from Hokie Nation tells our student-athletes that we're behind them, and it gives our programs the resources to compete, grow, and reach new heights. We need all of Hokie Nation in this one."
Fans, alumni, parents, former student-athletes, and supporters across the world will have the opportunity to contribute directly to specific teams and support programs to help provide essential resources that fuel the student-athlete experience at Virginia Tech.
Triumph Together opens August 18 at noon and closes August 19 at 1 p.m.
