BLACKSBURG – Ahead of this year’s Independence Day, fans have the chance to support the brave men and women who serve our nation through the Tickets for Troops initiative.

Through a continued partnership with the Veteran Tickets Foundation (Vet Tix), this program gives Hokie fans a powerful way to give back, by sending veterans, active-duty service members, and their families to Lane Stadium to experience the energy of Hokie football firsthand this season.

Fans can donate in $25 increments, and Virginia Tech Athletics will match every gift to cover the full cost of a game ticket.

Whether you’re a Hokie alum, a proud supporter, or simply looking to show gratitude to those who serve, this is your chance to make a gameday unforgettable for someone in uniform.

Experience the magic at this year’s Salute To Service Day

Virginia Tech proudly embraces its military tradition as one of just two public universities with a full-time Corps of Cadets. That tradition will be on full display during this year's Salute to Service Day on Saturday, Sept. 12, when the Hokies host ODU at Lane Stadium.

The annual celebration honors active-duty military members, veterans and the Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets while showcasing the pride, service and sacrifice that are woven into the fabric of the university.

Join us in recognizing those who serve while experiencing the unmatched atmosphere of Hokie Football. Secure your seats today and be part of this special tradition.

About Vet Tix
The Veteran Tickets Foundation (Vet Tix) is a national 501c3 nonprofit founded by veterans dedicated to support and honor the U.S. military community, veterans and their families. The Vet Tix mission is to provide tickets to sporting events, concerts, performing arts and family activities aimed at improving mental welfare and enriching the lives of military service members and veterans.

Attending Vet Tix events reduces stress through entertainment, strengthens family bonds, builds life-long memories and encourages service members to stay engaged with American life and local communities. These are gifts in which we can all take pride.

Vet Tix serves ALL branches of the U.S. military, including those currently serving, honorably discharged veterans and their families, as well as the immediate family of those killed in action. Since 2008, Vet Tix has given out more than two million tickets and is active in all 50 states.
