Hokies sign Maddie Rexroat to 2026-27 recruiting class

Rexroat joins the Hokies after two seasons with Xavier, where she was the 2024-25 Big East Freshman of the Year. She has posted a career record of 29-16 in singles and 11-15 in doubles. 

Hailing from Milton, Georgia, Rexroat played in the second and third spots with Xavier. During her sophomore year, she was named All-Big East First Team and a two-time Big East Player of the Week. Rexroat recorded the highest-ranked win in program history for Xavier, with a win in the second position over the No. 15-ranked player in the country from Vanderbilt. 

In her freshman year, she earned Big East Freshman of the Year honors and All-Big East Second Team. She went undefeated in conference play with a 6-0 record.
