Five Hokies named to All-ACC Academic Men's Golf Team

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Virginia Tech men's golfers Benjamin Baker, Ashton Harper, Aiden Patel, Rahul Rajendran and Gareth Steyn were named to the 2026 All-ACC Academic Team as announced by the league office Monday.

A total of 48 student-athletes were named to the All-ACC Academic Men’s Golf Team, as all 15 schools were represented. Duke’s William Love, Georgia Tech’s Hiroshi Tai, Notre Dame’s Nate Stevens and Virginia’s Bryan Lee were honored for the fourth time in their collegiate careers. Notre Dame and Virginia Tech led the way with five honorees each, while Duke, NC State and Stanford placed four players apiece.

A total of 11 of the 15 members of the All-ACC Team were named to this season’s All-ACC Academic Team.

Academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team include a minimum 3.0 grade point average for the previous two semesters and a 3.0 cumulative GPA for the student-athlete’s academic career, along with being enrolled at the institution for at least one year and classified as an undergraduate student. In addition, student-athletes must compete in at least 50 percent of their team’s athletic contests.
