BLACKSBURG – The Virginia Tech men’s basketball team is set to take on the Iowa Hawkeyes in a neutral site contest at Tyson Events Center in Sioux City, Iowa on Tuesday, November 10 the programs announced Tuesday. The game will be just the second contest ever played in the state of Iowa by the Hokies’ men’s basketball program, following the trip to Carver-Hawkeye Arena in 2009 for the Big Ten/ACC Challenge.
Tickets will go on sale on Friday, June 26, at 11 a.m. (ET) at TicketMaster.
Tech has faced Iowa four times in program history, most recently in 2017 at Cassell Coliseum. The Hokies have won all four previous matchups, which took place in 2006, 2009, 2012 and the 2017 game respectively.

Last season Iowa went 24-13 (10-10) and knocked defending national champion Florida out of the NCAA tournament on the way to an Elite Eight appearance.
