BLACKSBURG – Mike Young and the Virginia Tech men’s basketball team announced the signing of 6-foot-5 guard Isaiah Elohim Thursday. Elohim started all 33 of Florida Atlantic’s games last season as a sophomore, where he averaged 12.4 points and 4.2 rebounds.
The Kingston, New York native posted 23 games in double figures, including scoring 20 or more three times. Elohim also crashed the glass well, securing one double-double in a contest against Tulsa. For the season, he shot better than 46% from the field and 36% from beyond the arc.
Elohim, a top 50 recruit in high school, began his collegiate career at USC.
