Hokie ClubBLACKSBURG – Virginia Tech defender Caroline Doffermyre received the Department of Political Science's Harris Award this semester as she graduated with honors from Virginia Tech with a degree in political science - legal studies.
The Harris Award is in memory of another of the founding members of the Department. It recognizes "distinguished scholarly achievement" and an "outstanding ability to conceive and execute original research in the discipline." It is awarded to a member of the graduating class in Political Science.
Doffermyre played for the Hokies for each of the last two seasons, making three appearances and helping the squad to a 19-18 record. A tremendous athlete, she set the program record on the fitness test her junior year.
