CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The ACC and ESPN announced kickoff times and television designations for five games during the 2026 season on Wednesday.
The Hokies will open the 2026 campaign in prime time against the VMI Keydets on Saturday, Sept. 5. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET on the ACC Network. It will be the first meeting between the two schools since 1984. Fans wanting to experience the magic of Lane Stadium under the lights are encouraged to secure their seats quickly.
Virginia Tech will be back at Lane Stadium the following week to host Old Dominion on Saturday, Sept. 12. That matchup is slated for a noon ET kickoff and will air on The CW.
The Hokies' first road test comes on Saturday, Sept. 19 at Maryland. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET with television coverage on either Fox or FS1.
Virginia Tech will also host the Pitt Panthers on Friday, Oct. 2 at Lane Stadium. The Friday night ACC matchup is scheduled for a 7 p.m. ET kickoff on ESPN.
The Hokies close out their Friday night slate on Nov. 6 at SMU in Dallas, Texas. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. ET on ESPN.
Additional kickoff times and television designations for the remainder of Virginia Tech’s 2026 schedule will be announced at a later date.
