Tech adds senior Lamija Avdic to transfer class

The senior joins the Hokies after three years with Seattle University

Avdic joins the Hokies after spending the last three years with Seattle University as their No. 1 in both singles and doubles. She has posted a career 25-16 dual record in singles and a 29-11 dual record in doubles. 

Hailing from Kirkland, Washington, Avdic made her presence known at Seattle University and WAC, earning WAC Player of the Year honors in 2025 and WAC Freshman of the Year in 2024. She was named to the All-WAC First Team and All-WAC Doubles Second Team in 2025 and All-WAC Second Team in 2024. She participated in the ITA All-American Championship as well as the ITA Collegiate Masters Championship in 2024. Avdic earned Doubles Player of the Week three times and Singles Player of the Week once.
