BLACKSBURG – Virginia Tech (46-10, 18-6 ACC) advanced to its seventh straight NCAA Division I Softball Championship. The Hokies are the No. 2 seed in the Baton Rouge Regional, hosted by LSU.

Tech’s 44 regular season wins are also the most in a single season since 2019.
The Hokies are 26-24 in all-time first-round NCAA Regional matchups and are 14-9 under D’Amour.
The double-elimination regional will conclude on Sunday, May 17, and the winner of the Baton Rouge Regional will match up with the winner of the Tuscaloosa Regional in the NCAA Super Regional round on May 22-24. The winner of the Super Regional round will advance to the Women's College World Series, taking place in Oklahoma City from May 28-June 5.
The Hokies are fresh off their first ACC Championship game appearance since 2012, knocking off Virginia and No. 12/12 Duke to reach the title game. Bree Carrico’s ACC Freshman of the Year honor headlined Tech’s eight All-ACC selections.
