Hokie ClubAUGUSTA, Ga. — The Hokies finished 2-under par at the Augusta Haskins Award Invitational on Sunday, carding an 862 (285-290-287) at the Forest Hills Golf Course (par 72, 7,086 yards). The team finished in 13th place on the weekend.
Benjamin Baker (69-72-74) and Gareth Steyn (72-72-71) both tied at 45th individually at 1-under par, with Aiden Patel (72-73-71) finishing at even par for the weekend.
No. 16 North Carolina (270-276-264) dominated the weekend, fueled by a final round score of 24-under par to take home the team title. Sihan Sandhu (68-67-66) carded a 15-under for the Tar Heels and finished with the individual title.
Tech will get back to it next Monday at the Lewis Chitengwa Invitational in Charlottesville, Va.
