BLACKSBURG – The Virginia Tech women’s golf team has earned an NCAA regional bid for the seventh time in program history, as announced on the NCAA selection show on the Golf Channel Wednesday. The Hokies will be the sixth seed in the Simpsonville Regional, which will be contested May 11-13.
This selection marks the third consecutive appearance and the seventh NCAA regional appearance in 11 years of the program.
The Hokies will be one of 12 teams competing in the Simpsonville Regional at the University of Louisville Golf Club in Simpsonville, Kentucky. The top five teams (30 total) and the top individual not on an advancing team (six total) from each region will advance to the 2026 NCAA Women's Golf Championship set for May 22-27 at Omni La Costa Resort and Spa in Carlsbad, California.
Tech is the only ACC team in the Simpsonville Regional. Sixth-ranked Arkansas is the top seed in the regional. Ten ACC teams advanced to the NCAA regional round.
The Simpsonville Regional will consist of 54 holes of stroke play, 18 each day.
