Hokies drop road match to No. 48 Cal

BERKELEY, Calif. — On Sunday, the Hokies fell to No. 48 Cal, 4–0.

Virginia Tech trailed early after a close doubles point. The duo of Blake Hilsen and Eyal Shumilov lost 7–5, while Ilyas Fahim and Patrik Jurina’s match went unfinished, tied at 6–6.

The Hokies then dropped three singles matches, securing the 4–0 victory for Cal.
