Hokie ClubSUNSET, S.C. – The Virginia Tech women’s golf team finished eighth out of 16 teams in the Clemson Invitational that concluded Sunday at The Reserve at Lake Keowee (par 72, 6,464 yards).
The Hokies had rounds of 289, 289 and 301 to finish at 15-over 879.
Valentine Delon tied for 12th and led the Hokies with a 1-under 215 (69-74-72). Emily Mathews tied for 25th at 3-over 219 (71-72-76).
Florida won the tournament at 17-under 847 (279-286-282).
The Hokies are back in action at the ACC Women’s Golf Championship, April 16-19. The championship is set to take place at Porters Neck Country Club in Wilmington, N.C.
