EATONTON, Ga. – Virgina Tech finished the Linger Longer invitational at The Great Waters at Lake Oconee Course (par 72, 7073 yards) on Sunday, carding an 872 (280-303-289). The Hokies finished in 11th place as a team for the weekend at 8-over par.
Gareth Steyn finished T-34th individually, shooting a 1-over par (70-74-73), followed by Ben Baker, who finished T-41st with a 3-over par (70-77-72).
No. 35 Georgia ran away with the team title, shooting 48-under on the weekend field by a dominant first round (267-278-271). Carter Loflin led the way for the Bulldogs, shooting 18-under (67-67-64) on the weekend.
The Hokies will be back in action on April 4th for the Augusta Haskins Award Invitational in Augusta, Georgia.
