Winston-Salem, N.C. — Virginia Tech lost match to No. 4 Wake Forest Friday afternoon, 4-0.
Tech stayed within striking distance during doubles play, but ultimately dropped the point. Ilyas Fahim and Patrik Jurina narrowly fell 7-5. Blake Hilsen and Eyal Shumilov were up 6-5 when Wake Forest claimed the point.
The Hokies were unable to answer during singles play, with Wake Forest claiming three courts to secure the Demon Deacons' victory.
UP NEXT: The Hokies continue their road trip, heading to Raleigh to take on the No. 21 NC State Wolfpack on Sunday at noon.
