WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Amani Hansberry recorded a third straight double-double and Jailen Bedford scored a season-high 25 points Saturday afternoon but the Hokies ultimatley fell 81-78 to homestanding Wake Forest.

For Tech, their record moves to 12-3 (1-1 ACC) as their six-game winning streak was snapped.

Wake Forest came out on the front foot, taking a 12-2 lead by the first media timeout before the Hokies could get their footing. Mintutes later Tech went on a run of their own, 10-0 to tie the ballgame at 14 apiece.

Despite poor ball security and foul trouble, Tech reached the halftime break down just four points.

In the second half, with Hansberry back on the floor, Tech kicked into high gear recording a 12-0 run, taking the lead at the 8:07 mark after a triple from Hansberry. From there, it was a back-and-forth affair with both clubs making plays.

With six ticks on the clock, Nate Calmese (25 points) hit a 3-pointer with the shot clock winding down from the top of the key that would prove to be the difference. Up three, Wake chose to foul the Hokies, who ran out of time to mount a comeback.
