INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The countdown to the 2025 NFL Draft is officially underway, with the start of the NFL Combine this week. Starting Thursday, Feb. 27, hundreds of athletes will test their skills inside Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana, for scouts from all 32 NFL franchises. Following the conclusion of the 2024 regular season, defensive end Antwaun Powell-Ryland, running back Bhayshul Tuten, cornerback Dorian Strong, wide receivers Jaylin Lane and Da’Quan Felton, and defensive tackle Aeneas Peebles each received a combine invitation. Over the course of three days, fans can watch these six former Hokies participate in drills that measure their athletic ability, position-specific intangibles and raw strength. Thursday, Feb. 27
Defensive linemen Aeneas Peebles and Antwaun Powell-Ryland will participate in on-field drills starting at 3 p.m. ET. Peebles will be a member of the interior DL group while participating in the 40-yard dash and 3-cone or shuttle drill during the live broadcast. APR, on the other hand, will be a member of the Edge DL group and will showcase his leaping ability in the vertical jump and broad jump ahead of his 40-yard dash. Each of these former Hokies can also participate in skill drills before the workouts conclude around 6:30 p.m.
Friday, Feb. 28
Starting Friday afternoon at 3 p.m., cornerback Dorian Strong will be the lone Hokie taking the spotlight at the combine for the defensive backs. Strong can be seen participating in the 40-yard dash, various skill drills, 3-cone and shuttle drills before his workout concludes at 6 p.m.
Saturday, Feb. 29
A fan favorite for those interested in watching the NFL Combine is generally the running back and wide receiver drills. Beginning at 1 p.m., running back Bhayshul Tuten will participate in the 40-yard dash before other drills similar to his counterparts on Thursday and Friday. Wide receiver Da’Quan Felton will have his go at the vertical jump and broad jump around 1:30 p.m. before his 40-yard dash. Lastly, wide receiver Jaylin Lane will close out the day by going through a similar gauntlet of drills starting at 4:30 p.m. ET, with workouts expected to end at 8:30 p.m.
