Hokie ClubBLACKSBURG, Va. — Junior Maddox Hamm has been named the ACC men’s indoor field performer of the week after a record-breaking season opener, the conference announced Tuesday.
Hamm opened his season at the Liberty Kickoff on Dec. 5, winning the pole vault with a career-best clearance of 5.70 meters (18 feet, 8 1/4 inches). The mark broke the Virginia Tech indoor program record and placed him No. 1 on both the 2026 NCAA Division I indoor qualifying list and the ACC indoor performance list.
