Hokies lacrosse program announces 2026 signing class

Skiera adds nine accomplished young women to Tech’s squad

BLACKSBURG – Virginia Tech lacrosse head coach Kristen Skiera announced the program’s 2026 signing class which consists of nine future Hokies Thursday afternoon.

Defender
Davidsonville, Md.
Archbishop Spalding High School

Bartek will join the Hokies after four years of varsity lacrosse at Archbishop Spalding where she is also a member of National Honors Society, part of project Lead the Way program and is president of One Love Club. She plans on majoring in civil engineering.

Giada Catanzaro
Attacker
Martinsville, N.J.
Bridgewater-Raritan Regional High School

Catanzaro, an attacker, has earned many accolades in her prep career including: two-time USA Lacrosse All-American, 2025 3rd Team All-State, 2025 First Team All Group 4, 2025 First Team All-Skylands Conference, 2025 All-America Highlight Division (Team New Jersey), 2024 2nd Team All Group 4 New Jersey, 2024 First Team All-Skylands Conference, 2024 American Select - Team New Jersey Navy

She also led state in total points (181) and assists (101) throughout the 2025 season.

Abigail Dieumegard
Goalie
Islip, N.Y.
Islip High School

The lone goalie in the class, Dieumegard lettered in three different sports while at Islip High, including soccer and basketball. On the soccer field, she earned All-Division 2023, Coaches Award 2024, All-County 2025 and Division Player of the Year 2025.

In hoops she was All-League 2024, Anil John Classic MVP 2024 and All-League 2025.

She has also racked up accolades in lacrosse which include All-Division 2023, All-County 2024, All-County 2025, All-Long Island 2nd Team 2025, All State 2nd Team 2025 and Newsday Top 10 Goalie on Long Island

She is a member of National Honor Society, World Language Honor Society, English Honor Society and Principal’s High Honor Roll.

Catherine Gentile
Midfielder
Gibsonia, Pa.
Pine Richland High School

Gentile’s prep career has seen her be awarded First Team All-Section Lacrosse three times, All-WPIAL Lacrosse two times, Offensive MVP twice, and her squad has been the Section Champ three times. Additionally, she is a WPIAL Champion and team captain.

Regan Kelleher
Attacker
West Friendship, Md.
Glenelg High School

Kelleher is a four-year varsity lacrosse athlete who has captained her team. The attacker has earned New Balance All-America Tournament team three times, Howard County All-County First Team twice and has been the county assist leader each of the last two seasons. During that span, she also leads Glenelg in points.

She has also been on the Academic Honor Roll three times.

The younger sister of freshman Reilly Kelleher, Regan is closing in on the assist record for Howard County.

Georgetown Visitation Preparatory School

With her squad at Georgetown Visitation, she has won All-ISL her junior year season.

Sammie McLaughlin

West Chester, Pa.
Bayard Rustin High school

An All-American at Bayard Rustin, McLaughlin has also been awarded All-Conference and has been named Best in Class twice.

Additionally, she is a Nation Honor Society member as well as the Business Honor Society.


Elizabeth Schummer
Midfielder
Annapolis, Md.
St. Mary’s

Schummer, a Maryland native has lettered in three sports at St. Mary’s: lacrosse, soccer and basketball.

She has been an American Select First Tournament Team member, American Select Champion and New Balance All-America Champion.

Schummer has been a varsity soccer captain for three years and an IAAM All-Conference First Team member twice.

Schummer is also a member of Principal’s Honor Roll, National Honor Society and Science Honor Society.

Coming from a lacrosse family, she has two cousins who graduated from Maryland men’s lacrosse, one cousin is a current member of Notre Dame men’s team, and her older brother is current member of the Georgetown program.

Paige Zadareky
Defender
Springfield, Va.
St. Stephen’s and St. Agnes School

Zadareky helped St. Stephen’s and St. Agnes to a conference runner up finish in 2025 where she led the team in caused turnovers. She was a state runner up in Virginia in 2024.
