BLACKSBURG – The Hokies fell to No. 1 Notre Dame, 5-0, on Thursday night at Thompson Field.
How It Happened
The No. 1 Fighting Irish struck halfway through the first 45, scoring three goals in the span of eight minutes.
Notre Dame scored their fourth goal in the 60th minute and followed up with the fifth five minutes later.
Despite creating nine shots in the second half, the Hokies were unable to find the back of the net.
