Hokies' 2025-26 ACC schedule unveiled

Virginia Tech travels to seven states outside of the Commonwealth for ACC competition

CHARLOTTE – Virginia Tech women’s basketball team unveils their 2025-26 ACC slate as released by the conference Tuesday afternoon.

The Hokies will play 18 conference games, once against 16 ACC foes while battling twice against the Virginia Cavaliers.

Virginia Tech opens the slate inside Cassell Coliseum on Sunday, Dec. 7 against Duke who reached the Elite Eight in 2025. The Hokies will play their second ACC contest of December at Florida State on Thursday, Dec. 18.

Single-game tickets for conference matchups will go on sale later this month.

Schedule Notes

  • The Hokies will travel to all three of the ACC’s 2024 newcomers in SMU, Cal and Stanford
  • It is just the first time VT will play on the road against both the Golden Bears and the Cardinal and the first time since November 2011 competing in the Golden State
  • The trip to Dallas to play SMU is just the second in Virginia Tech program history, dating back to their 87-61 defeat of the Mustangs on Nov. 26, 2005
  • Tech is home twice for two-straight ACC contests in 2026 from Jan. 29-Feb. 1 and Feb. 19-Feb. 22
  • VT ends the ACC season on the road for the fourth consecutive season
  • The Commonwealth Clash will be played exactly one month apart; Feb. 1 in Blacksburg and March 1 in Charlottesville
