1. Salute to Service

1. Salute to Service

The Hokies are proud to recognize public service heroes across all disciplines this weekend, including but not limited to military service members, law enforcement, firefighters and EMT specialists. Saturday’s contest is all about recognizing those who keep our families, friends, and communities safe – be sure to thank a member of public service in Lane Stadium this weekend.

2. White Effect

In honoring members of public service this weekend, the Hokies will wear white in support of our Salute to Service gameday theme. In partnership with Operation Hat Trick (OHT), “White Effect” is Virginia Tech Athletics’ way of thanking the thousands of selfless individuals who continue to keep Blacksburg, the state of Virginia, and the nation a safe place to live and work. Join in the celebration and get your hands on exclusive OHT Effect merchandise for this Saturday’s contest!

Wi-Fi can become easily congested when so many members of Hokie Nation are in the same area. To avoid a weak signal in and around Lane Stadium on gameday, be sure to:

  • Download your mobile tickets beforehand. Learn more about downloading tickets at the link.
  • Download the HokieSports mobile app. Tickets can also be accessed through the app, so be sure to read up on how tickets can be accessed and how you can download the app.
  • Bring your cards with you. Lane Stadium is a cashless venue and fully utilizes credit and debit cards both at concessions and, for the first time, in Hokie Shop.
