BLACKSBURG – This fall, Virginia Tech men’s basketball is headed to Paradise Island in the Bahamas, the site of the prestigious Battle 4 Atlantis, one of college basketball’s major early-season tournaments, which is set to be held from November 26-28.

Tournament play begins for the Hokies on Wednesday, Nov. 26, at 5 PM ET as they take on Colorado State, one of the top mid-major programs in the country. This will mark the second meeting in program history, following a clash at the 2012 Vegas Classic, which the Hokies fell to Colorado State 88-52.

The tournament also features Western Kentucky, Vanderbilt, VCU, South Florida, Wichita State, and Saint Mary’s, providing a challenging but promising path for the Hokies in their first Battle 4 Atlantis appearance, now in its 14th year.

The Hokies will return to Paradise Island for the first time since 2010, having defeated Mississippi State 88-57 at the Battle at Atlantis showcase, a single-game event held on the Island prior to the tournament beginning the following year in 2011.

Games will be played inside the Imperial Arena, where each team will play three games in three days, each game being nationally televised on ESPN Networks, and updates will be provided by HokieMBB Instagram and X accounts.

Virginia Tech approaches this season with high expectations as Head Coach Mike Young enters the season with a fully reloaded roster blooming with talent. The Battle 4 Atlantis will provide the Hokies with an opportunity for valuable early-season tests against multiple teams with postseason potential.
