Virginia Tech earns 2024-25 PLATFORM Golf Academic Award

Hokies post 3.52 cumulative GPA last year

BLACKSBURG – Virginia Tech men's golf earned the 2024-25 PLATFORM Golf Team Academic Award for its outstanding academic performance last season.

A record 292 schools across six divisions earned the PLATFORM Golf Team Academic Award, according to the GCAA. Of those 292 schools, Virginia Tech is among the 129 programs that received Presidents Special Recognition for maintaining a team GPA of 3.5 or higher, placing the Hokies in elite academic company. Tech boasted a 3.52 cumulative GPA in 2024-25.

Established in 1958, the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) is the professional organization of men’s collegiate golf coaches across all divisions.
