BLACKSBURG - Virginia Tech long snapper Christian Epling has been named to the watch list for the Patrick Mannelly Award, which honors the nation's top FBS long snapper.
Epling (6-2, 219) played in 12 games as a snapper during the 2023 season and followed that up by playing in all 13 games in 2024.
The award, created in 2019, benefits Bernie’s Book Bank, a non-profit organization located in Lake Bluff, Illinois. Ten semi-finalists will be announced on November 17, 2025. Those names will be narrowed to three finalists selected on December 1, 2025 and the winner announced at the live award ceremony in mid-December.
