BLACKSBURG – Virginia Tech softball head coach Pete D’Amour announced Thursday the addition of seasoned outfielder Bre Warren to next year's roster. Warren arrives from the SEC following a solid 2024 campaign at South Carolina and a standout career that began at Texas A&M.
“Bre was highly recommended to us by many people I trust in the softball community,” D’Amour said. “She’s a physically gifted left-handed hitter that has a lot of big game collegiate experience. Bre is a mature young lady and will be a great addition to our program.”
A native of College Station, Texas, Warren arrives to Blacksburg after spending three years at Texas A&M and one at South Carolina. While at Texas A&M, Warren earned SEC All-Freshman and Second Team All-SEC honors.
During her career, Warren has appeared in 130 games. She recorded 70 career hits, three home runs, and 42 RBIs across her collegiate career. During the 2021 season, Warren posted a career-best .308 batting average.
In her most recent year at South Carolina, Warren started 27 games over 39 appearances, primarily as the designated player. She had three multi-hit games and hit a walk-off double against then-No. 16 Mississippi State.
